Cengiz Energy Supports National Surfer Nisa Keser

Cengiz Energy, Türkiye’s largest private-sector electricity producer, has become a sponsor of national athlete Nisa Keser, who will represent Türkiye at the European Junior Surfing Championship. With this support, the company aims to contribute to the empowerment of young athletes while also investing in the future of surfing, an emerging sport in Türkiye.

A group company of Cengiz Holding, Cengiz Energy has sponsored national athlete Nisa Keser to support young athletes and contribute to Türkiye’s representation on the international stage. Nisa Keser will represent Türkiye in the national team jersey at the European Junior Surfing Championship (EuroSurf Junior), which will be held in Bundoran, Ireland, from September 24 to October 4, 2026.

Nisa Keser began her sporting career in 2022 after receiving wave surfing training at the Şile Municipality Sports Academy. She currently continues her professional career with Tula Surf Club under the guidance of her coach, Ergun Şenbaş. Although she still competes in the Junior (U18) category, Keser holds the distinction of being the youngest athlete to represent Türkiye internationally in the Open category. She has already attracted attention with the achievements she has earned in a short period of time.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Cengiz Energy CEO Ahmet Türkoğlu said:

“We believe that supporting areas where young people can realize their potential contributes to social development. We are immensely proud that Nisa Keser will represent our country on the international stage. While contributing to the empowerment of young female athletes, we are also pleased to support the future of wave surfing, a sport that is still developing in Türkiye. We will continue to act with an approach that promotes equal opportunities in sports and stands alongside young people throughout their journey toward success.”

THE YOUNGEST ATHLETE ON THE NATIONAL TEAM

Nisa Keser achieved a significant success at the 2026 TYF Turkish Championship in Hatay’s Samandağ district, becoming the Turkish champion in both the U18 Longboard and U18 Shortboard categories.

In 2025, Keser competed in the Open category at the European Surfing Championship held in Santa Cruz, Portugal, as the youngest representative of the Turkish National Team. In the same year, she finished second in Türkiye in the U18 Shortboard category at the official season competitions organized by the Turkish Sailing Federation (TYF).

At the 2024 TYF Turkish Championship, the young athlete finished second in the Longboard category and third in the Women’s Longboard Open category. She was also crowned festival champion in the under-18 category at the 2023 Black Sea Surf Festival and won the youth category at the Babalı leg of the 2022 Black Sea Surf Festival.
